Setting: page address

The page address or URL defines the path of an individual page that is shown in the browser. This URL is also visible in search results. Here the same rule as for the page name applies: The URL should reflect the content of the page. You surely remember the one topic-one keyword per page rule. Use the specific key word in the page address. Make sure the word is as short as possible so that the path of the URL is concise.

Tip:

Note that no special characters nor empty spaces or capital letters are allowed in the page address. Keep it simple.


The page address is visible in search results. An example is given below for Webnodes templates page:

Note that the page address of your start page or landing page always remains as home and cannot be changed, as this equals your chosen domain name, e.g. mywebsite.com.
