Register your website with Google Search Console
Google will always find your website eventually! There is no need to register the website with Google, but not letting Google know that your site exists can take Google several weeks to months to index your site. So, better register it with the Google Search Console. This way your site will be indexed within hours. In addition the Google Search Console does provide you with essential information about your website; statistics and data given will help you to understand actions on your site and also help to optimize your site.
First step - registration
Login or register yourself with Google Search Console (Google Webmaster Tools). Add a property (website) by clicking on URL-Prefix and enter the entire URL of your main page.
Tip:
It is important to not forget to enter the "/" at the end, e.g. https://www.webnode.co.uk/
Second step - copy HTML-tag
A new window will open up that allows you to confirm the added property. To do so, scroll down further to "Other verification methods" and select the provided HTML-tag. Copy the entire code.
